Oh people. This weekend was a little hectic. And when I say hectic I mean off the wall chaotic, but I survived! It was filled with a lack of sleep, a lot of work, masses of people, and music. So... the last part isn't bad, there were definitely highlights.
My weekend started out with that first picture up yonder (yes yonder). I'm an Appalachian Studies minor, and my class has been working all semester on a cabin dedication. Thursday was the big day, and boy was it a success. The talented people in the photo are the Pickin' Porch group. After the demonstration was over, I went home and stayed up all night researching for a paper, hence photo two. I stayed up all Friday night too. I swear school will be the death of me.
Anyhoo, Friday morning I got to make those little dreamcakes. Then some kids came in and scarfed them all down. Short lived success. I, then, decided to reward myself with a strawberry smoothie and some new lipstick... actually my first lipstick. I was feeling adventurous (I'm not much of a makeup person).
Saturday was the beginning of the Bear on the Square festival in Dahlonega. Definitely the coolest festival we have. This translated into a hectic day at work, but it also meant that I got to enjoy all of the music after work. The coolest thing about this festival is that people just come out of the woodwork and start jamming together on the square. Awe to the some. Of course with any festival there are going to be vendors. The last picture was a vendor of homemade birdhouses. It was too cute, I couldn't resist.
How was your weekend?

I think your new shade of lipsticks looks superb girlie!!

Happy Tuesday and I hope you found some rest somewhere between the chaos :)
