They Have Come!

Yes people. They have come. We have gotten our first fruits... vegetables. They have been born and we've eaten them already. Good parents. Really though, you should have seen how excited I was when Rion brought up our first cucumber and squash. Happy girl. It almost rivaled how excited I was here. Almost... I have my priorities.
Want to know what's weird? Last year we put so much hard work and love into our garden and well, it didn't flop but it wasn't the Garden of Eden either. This year we have barely touched it and it has exploded. Lazy gardening works apparently. Or maybe we just lucked out. Probably, but I'd like to believe in the lazy gardening theory.

So exciting!!! I can't wait to eat something out of my garden. So far the only thing edible that's growing is my broccoli. Everything else is just sprouting up, so there isn't anything to eat yet. I'm growing impatient, but I'm sure I'll be as ecstatic as you were when the comes to start eating!!

hah! Awesome! I tried to plant a garden once in my family's field. Except, I forgot where I planted and could never find it again. Yeah lazy gardening! :)

i just love your posts :) and the photography is bloody brilliant. :) i'm so jealous of your garden. i didn't plant anything this year because we're moving across the country in less than 2 months - i'll just live through you.

Small side note: Tomorrow (wed) is the very first posting for our Fresh Foods Link Up! Come share your CSA collections, farmer's market treasures, home grown/raised hauls, and/or any seasonal recipes or DIY projects or tutorials! We've got a way for bloggers AND blog readers to participate!

The photos you take are so beautiful!

I used to have a garden, but I never took care of the plants... so I never had any... I guess lazy gardening doesn't work for everyone :'(

I feel like you live smack dab in the middle of Tuck Everlasting.

How'd you like that 4th grade novel reference? You're welcome.

PS. It's true. Minus the whole drink the water and live forever thing.
