Maine: The Wilderness

8.19.2012

If you think a beautiful coast is all Maine has to offer... you be trippin'.
Welcome to the wilderness of Maine.
This was the majestic forest that I got to frolic around in for a week. Jealous? Me too. I'm jealous of the past me because the present me is not there anymore.
Why am I not there anymore? Really though... why?
The woods here are not really woods. They are really like fairytale forests that go on forever. The deep green moss, the dense forests, and the wild roots that grow everywhere make the most beautiful forests.

Then once you get through the enchanting forests where Tinkerbell must live, you get to the top and your mind gets blown. I could have sat on top of those mountaintops for ages. The more I talk the more I question why Rion and I didn't just set up a tent for life. I guess the winters might have been a little rough.
Anyhoo, now you know about the place that tortures my little heart.

I seriously have each and every photo that you posted....in it's identicallity.

That place is where I found freedome and I'm so jealous that you got to go and hang there. I would have sat silent with you atop that mountain for ages.

My hubby is from Augusta area. And i do love the coast when we go up. I always visit. But the magic is in the great outdoors I will agree. The lakes, the spring water so fresh. The air. Love it!

Wow, those views are absolutely stunning! My father loves Maine and took us on some trips to the coast when we were younger, but we never made it to the parks and mountains. Maybe someday!

I recently started a new link party on my blog that is exclusively for traveling and experiencing different places. If you could hop on over and link this post or any other 'traveling' post, I would be so grateful! Thanks so much!
